Retreat to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe, California, for a transformative yoga and hiking retreat that blends adventure with relaxation. Whether you're seeking rejuvenation, adventure or a peaceful getaway, our Body Flows retreat offers the perfect balance of movement and stillness in one of nature's most awe-inspiring settings, Lake Tahoe California!

Our retreat will be held at the gorgeous private lake and beachfront resort on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa, with incredible alpine vistas and views of the tranquil blue waters of Lake Tahoe. Relax on the private beach, enjoy a cruise, water sports or swim in the lake, and watch the spectacular Lake Tahoe sunsets.

We will practice morning yoga on the private beach and early evening yoga indoors overlooking the lake and mountains. The morning yoga classes will be mostly vinyasa flow yoga for all levels, linking movement with the breath for an energizing yet relaxing flow. With creative and balanced sequences, strengthening and lengthening, detoxing and pranayama, you will experience a strong, safe and supportive practice. Modifications and options will be provided for different abilities. You'll have the opportunity to play with some backbends, arm balances, and inversions if you choose, and cool down with some deep stretches to restore the body and mind. The evening classes will be yin yoga, with longer held seated and supine postures, stretching, lengthening, releasing tension and creating more space in deeper layers of connective tissues in the body. Yin yoga is also a perfect opportunity to journey inwards and practice meditation.

Highlights - What's Included

  • 1-2 daily yoga classes for all levels with guided meditations (vinyasa flow and yin yoga). The yoga and meditation classes will be held at the lodge on an outdoor deck.
  • 4 nights accommodation overlooking the lake (single, double, triple, quadruple occupancy available)
  • 3 delicious, healthy, nourishing meals per day, mostly plant-based with fish and poultry options (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and special dietary restrictions can be accommodated if requested ahead of time).
  • 3 alpine hikes with spectacular lake and mountain views. There will be options for 2-4 miles on each hike, or longer/shorter if you prefer. We will carpool or share taxis to the hiking locations and may split into smaller groups at the trailhead depending on preference for distance and pace. The hikes will be at approximately 6,000-7,000ft altitude. They are not guided hikes.
  • Free time to relax on the beach, enjoy the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, have fun on the lake with water sports, lake cruise or swimming, explore additional hiking trails and surrounding nature

Not Included

  • Transport to and from the retreat. Coordination of shared car rental and car pooling with other participants can be arranged if you email us at least one month before the retreat.
  • Travel Insurance (we recommended including the "cancel for any reason" clause)
  • Massages and spa treatments can be booked at nearby spas for additional cost. We will provide a list of recommended nearby massage therapists and spas closer to the retreat.

Location

Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa, South Lake Tahoe, California

We will be staying at the premier hotel beachfront resort, Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa, situated on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe in California. With its own private, beautiful stretch of sandy Lake Tahoe beach for resort guests hotel, this is the perfect secluded and peaceful venue for our yoga retreat.

The resort has an onsite Spa for massages and spa treatments, Elements of Tahoe.

Just 1 hour drive from Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), 2 hours drive from Sacramento Airport (SMF), and approximately 4 hours drive from the city of San Francisco, South Lake Tahoe is easily accessible by car or taxi.

She has been teaching yoga since 2010 and leading yoga retreats since 2014, and is grateful to have the opportunity to share the gift of yoga and meditation with others, as well as creating a like-minded community of yogis and friends. What To Bring

Yoga mat, comfortable clothes for yoga and hiking, sturdy hiking shoes or hiking boots with good grips for rocks on trails, water bottles and/or hydration pack for hiking, flashlight, bathing suit, sun lotion and sun hat, warm and waterproof jacket or sweater for cool or wet weather.

Note: There are no yoga mats or props so please bring your own yoga mat and (optional) blocks, blanket, bolster, strap. We understand it may not be possible to bring blocks, blankets and bolsters if you are traveling by flight. We will keep this in mind during the yoga classes and adjust as needed.

Note: Dogs and other pets are not permitted. The only animals that are allowed are certified service animals, accompanied by a person with a disability.

Accommodations

The rooms are furnished with classic pine log furnishings and décor for a warm rustic Tahoe experience. All rooms include gas fireplace, mini fridge, private balcony or patio overlooking Lake Tahoe, private bathroom with bathroom amenities and hair dryer. Single, double, triple or quadruple occupancy available.

Cost and Sign Up

All participants must be 21 or over.

No smoking or vaping.

A $250 deposit is required to secure your spot or you may pay in full. The balance is due 90 days prior to the retreat. You will receive reminder emails a few days prior to your balance due date. If the retreat is less than 90 days from the date of registration, the full amount is required.

Triple and Quadruple occupancy rooms are for friends or family members signing up together and filling the room because bed sharing is required. If you would like to share a room with a friend who is booking separately please mention their name on your registration form.

To ensure a restful night for everyone, we kindly ask guests who use noise machines, music, or meditation apps at night to use headphones while in shared rooms. We also recommend bringing earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise. This helps keep the space comfortable and peaceful for all.

All rooms have a private bathroom.

All prices are per person, not per room.
