The theme of our post Thanksgiving Weekend Yoga Retreat is gratitude. We will weave this gratitude theme throughout all our sessions, reminding ourselves to feel gratitude in our lives. With yoga, meditation, hiking or running, delicious homemade and nourishing meals, and local organic wine tasting, we hope you will leave feeling energized, rejuvenated and relaxed. Through the practice of gratitude, we can manifest more happiness, joy and well being into our lives, and appreciate every moment as a beautiful gift.
The yoga classes will be mostly Vinyasa Flow, linking movement with the breath, moving your body through both power and restorative poses, available for all levels and abilities. The classes will be theme-based, creative and balanced and will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, detoxing, energizing, and meditation. You will experience a safe and nurturing practice, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized. There will be one Yin class during the retreat.
You will have the opportunity to learn ChiRunning and ChiWalking, making running or walking effortless by letting gravity do the work. Blending principles of Tai Chi with running and walking, you move from your core muscles, allow gravity to assist your forward momentum, and let your legs relax. This reduces impact and eliminates the cause of injury, helping you to run or walk more safely, for longer, feel lighter and more relaxed, go faster, and enjoy running or walking for a lifetime! You will learn proper alignment and posture, body sensing, injury prevention, core strengthening, energy efficiency, lean, ankle lift, arm swing, stride length, cadence, gait analysis, joint loosener exercises, breathing techniques, and mindful and meditative running techniques.
All levels are welcome and encouraged. We'll have options for hikers and runners. We look forward to meeting you!

The retreat will be held at the beautiful Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma, California, just 1 hour drive north of San Francisco and 5 minutes drive from Sonoma plaza, in the heart of breathtaking Sonoma wine country.
Westerbeke has a lovely rural Ranch feel and nestles amid stately oaks, surrounded by rolling grass hills and vineyards in Sonoma's Valley of the Moon. There is an onsite outdoor pool and hot tub for soaking after yoga or hiking. Delicious fresh, local, nutritious, sustainable and mostly home-made food will be served 3 times daily, by wonderful cooks of the highest caliber, artists in their own right.
The closest airports are Sonoma County Airport (30 mins drive), San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK) and Sacramento (SMF) Airports. SFO, OAK and SMF are approximately 2 hours drive from the retreat center. Transport to/from the retreat is not included. Driving directions will be provided.
Sally is passionate about teaching and healing to share with others the practices that have helped her to heal her own body and discover a path of transformation and greater self awareness.
Growing up in Scotland, Sally has been an athlete since childhood, always loving movement and fascinated by the human body and the mind. She is so grateful to have the opportunity to inspire and coach others to become healthier and happier and awaken to their inner desires and purpose, through the gifts of yoga, meditation, mindful movement, massage and energy healing. She looks forward to meeting you!
Yoga mat (blocks and straps will be provided), comfortable and loose fitting clothes for yoga and hiking or running, water bottle, flashlight, bathing suit for pool and hot tub, sun lotion, warm and waterproof jacket or sweater for cool or wet weather, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer if desired
Note: Dogs and other pets are not permitted. The only animals that are allowed are certified service animals, accompanied by a person with a disability.
The rooms are colorful, and country style, and contain 2, 3 or 4 beds, with a private bathroom per room. Body wash and soap is provided. Please bring your own shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer if desired.
All prices are per person.
All participants must be 21 or over.
A $200 deposit is required to secure your spot or you may pay in full. The balance will be charged 2 months prior to the retreat. If the retreat is less than 2 months from the date of registration, the full amount is required.
Shared rooms are female-only unless you are signing up with a friend or as part of a couple and sharing the room. Please message us via our Contact page if you would like to attend as a couple.
